Course Information

As a business owner, you have a legal duty to manage risks within your business operations. You are required to minimise or eliminate any risks to the health and safety of your workers and within your workplace.

This workshop will guide you through the step-by-step process of identifying hazards, managing and controlling your business risks to reduce your cost and improve business performance.

There are things you need to follow in order to comply with WHS laws, such as having a first-aid plan, emergency plan, injury records, and training register.

This course is designed to walk you through everything you need to know about WHS compliance for your business.

The Targeted Skills for Small Business program is a NSW Government initiative, established to deliver training for small business owners and employees of small businesses who want to better understand how to use the latest technology and gain up-to-date knowledge to improve their business operations.

These courses are subsidised by the NSW Government for eligible participants. You may be eligible for fully subsidised training under the Targeted Skills for Small Business program if you are:

  • 15 years old or over
  • no longer at school
  • living or working in NSW (or an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person living in specific NSW border areas); and
  • an Australian citizen, permanent resident, New Zealand citizen, or humanitarian visa holder (or a partner visa holder whose sponsor is a humanitarian visa holder)

To be eligible for subsided training under this Program you must:

  • be an owner or employee of a small business with less than 20 employees; or
  • turn over less than $2 million annually

Each 2-hour workshop will be delivered live via Zoom by an industry expert trainer. You will also have the option of an additional 1 hour one to one session with the trainer to focus on your business.

You will need:

  • A Windows or Mac computer with a camera and microphone
  • A reliable internet connection
  • The Zoom app and Chrome browser installed

Each workshop will be limited to 6 students, and you must enrol to participate.

Zoom meeting details for each workshop will be provided once you have enrolled.

Dates for these workshops will be advised once courses are scheduled.

Hello! I’m Bernadette. I am a Workplace Health and Safety Consultant for small to medium enterprises, government departments, corporate to multi-national businesses.

Join me in our online workshops where I will guide you through everything you need to know on how to understand and apply WHS legal requirements for your business. I will also give you simple and effective tools to help you create a safer, healthier and successful business.
