As part of this course, students will achieve the following learning outcomes:
- Overview of coffee history
- Blends and single origin
- Coffee extraction
- Coffee dosage
- Stretching milk
- Adjusting grind
- Common coffees found in Australian cafes
- Clean and maintain the coffee machine
- Basic coffee art
- Food hygiene practices
Students will complete the following units of competency:
- SITHFAB005 - Prepare and serve espresso coffee
- SITXFSA001 - Use hygienic practices for food safety
Students must have successfully completed year 10 (or equivalent), turned 16 or have relevant experience and/or qualifications that indicate likely success in completing the course.

For students who are not eligible for NSW Government funding under the ACE program, the fee-for-service cost to undertake this accredited training course is $195.
Payment can be made over the phone or via invoice at the time of enrolment.
Training for this course will be delivered face to face at our Ourimbah campus Training Cafe.
Students are required to bring a pen, paper, and folder to the course, as well as wearing appropriate attire including enclosed non-slip shoes, long pants, t-shirt or long sleeve shirt, and an apron. All other course resources will be provided.
