Tech Savvy Seniors
It’s never too late to brush up on your online skills or learn new ways to stay connected with your loved ones. Central Coast Community College, in partnership with the NSW government and Telstra, offer the FREE Tech Savvy Seniors program to older Australians on the NSW Central Coast who are:
- Australian citizens / permanent residents
- Aged 60+
Tech Savvy Seniors delivers government-funded digital literacy training to seniors so they can develop the skills and confidence to access information and services online. The program provides short face to face workshops to assist you with using your computer, tablet or smart phone. Learn how to use the internet safely, access government services, do your shopping and banking or connect with family and friends.

Workshop 2 - Using the Internet on your Smart Phone (Part 1)
This workshop will cover:
- Connecting to the internet
- Understanding mobile data and costs
- Using a browser
- Searching the web
- Managing passwords
- Staying safe online
Workshop 3 - Using the Internet on your Smart Phone (Part 2)
This workshop will cover:
- Installing and using apps, including important government apps
- Using the cloud to store and share photos
- Video calls
Workshop 4 - Online Shopping & Banking
This workshop will cover:
- Shopping and banking safely online
- Shopping apps
- Knowing your rights
