Central Coast Community College can be found on the University of Newcastle Central Coast campus, conveniently located just two minutes from the M1 Pacific Motorway.

This state-of-the-art campus is home to the University of Newcastle, as well as TAFE and a variety of local businesses, all of whom contribute to a diverse and growing community. This campus is considered the education hub of the Central Coast and has inspired the personal and professional development of countless graduates across a host of industries.

HVTC has been offering courses and training at the Rutherford campus since 1981 and has been operating as a Central Coast Community College campus since 2019. Conveniently located close to Maitland train station and with plenty of onsite parking, the Rutherford campus makes an excellent option for students in the area.

The Rutherford campus offers apprenticeship trade training programs in Electrotechnology, Engineering Mechanical, and Engineering Fabrication in the purpose-built HVTC Skills Centre. Other specialist programs offered include induction courses, safety training, welding programs and pre-apprenticeship multi-trade programs.

Students at the Rutherford campus can make use of the specialised onsite trade centre to deliver training in a simulated workplace environment in a range of trade industries.

Business Growth Centre

Established in 1998, the Business Growth Centre was originally established as a not-for-profit Business Enterprise Centre, Business Incubator and Registered Training Organisation, with a purpose to support and grow small and micro businesses in the Lake Macquarie Local Government Area.

In 2021, the Business Growth Centre became the third location for the College, providing a new opportunity to connect with the Lake Macquarie and Newcastle regions. The Business Growth Centre is a business park providing tenants with light industrial and office space options. The main office complex includes reception, a function/training room, and a shared kitchen facility. The Gateshead campus is also our main hub for the delivering business training and advisory services.
