Course Duration

This course runs one day per week for the duration of five weeks.

Entry Requirements

Students must have successfully completed year 10 (or equivalent), turned 16 or have relevant experience and/or qualifications that indicate likely success in completing the workshop.

Funding Opportunities

The College is excited to announce that the MYOB Accountright Basics is being offered under the Adult and Community Education Community Services Obligation (CSO) Program. This funding has been designed to support people who experience barriers to training and employment.

Prior to being accepted into this workshop under the CSO Program, you will need to contact the College to ask for a finalised eligibility entitlement quotation. From here you will be provided with an enrolment pack, all the forms must be filled out and brought into the College for administration review. Please note that enquiring about the CSO Program does not guarantee you a position within this course.

The fees for this course are dependent on student eligibility requirements and may cost up to $380. You can determine your eligibility for the CSO Program here.

Learning Outcomes

  • Correctly maintain daily financial records.
  • Identify and rectify discrepancies and errors in documentations / transactions.
  • Accurately credit and debit transactions and promptly enter journals.
  • Maintain General Ledger in accordance with organisational requirements.
  • Reconcile systems for Accounts Payable and Receivable with General Ledger.
  • Make and receive payments, and ensure cash flow is accurately accounted for.
  • Collect or follow up outstanding accounts within designated timeframes.

Study Pathways

Graduates may continue their studies by enrolling in the FNS40215 Certificate IV in Bookkeeping.
