Continue to learn German to increase your fluency in the language, or take your skills to the next level before heading off to Germany. This course is for students continuing from our German Beginners 1 class, or for students who have completed approximately 20 hours of study in German.

This Beginners 2 course will consolidate what you have learned in our German for Travellers and/or German for Beginners 1 courses, so chances are you’re already familiar with a number of German phrases and words and are looking to expand your grasp on German through a more comprehensive experience of the language, exploring reading and pronunciation, listening comprehension and grammar, including sentence structure, asking and answering questions, verbs and tense.

Course Duration

This course runs 1 session per week for the duration of 9 weeks.

Entry Requirements

This course is for students continuing from our German Beginners 1 class, or for students who have completed approximately 20 hours of study in German. You must also be 16 years or older to participate in this course.

Graduates may continue their studies by enrolling in the German Intermediate course.

In the event that Central Coast Community College is unable to deliver this course due to unforeseen circumstances or minimum numbers not being reached, students will be offered a full refund for the required textbook purchased from the Co-op Bookshop provided the book is returned in good condition to the Co-op Bookshop within 10 days from notification of the course being cancelled. About The Trainer

Guten Tag! Wie geht’s? Would you like to learn a new language? How about German? Our Frankfurt-born teacher, Brigitte, earned a Master’s Degree in Literature and trained at the International House in Freiburg/Germany to teach German to speakers of other languages. She taught several years in Japan and Thailand before arriving in Australia. Throughout the course you will learn how to place an order in a Viennese coffeehouse, buy a train ticket to Salzburg or ask for directions to Munich’s Oktoberfest! Brigitte will mainly speak German in class and you will soon be able to converse in easy German. Alles klar? Let Brigitte open the door for you and lead you on your journey. Bis dann!
