This course has no current classes. Please to be notified of vacancies and similar courses.

The French for Intermediates is a direct continuation on from our French for Beginners course and delves deeper into the language, providing students with plenty of speaking and listening practice to increase their vocabulary.

At the Intermediate level, students will focus on improved pronunciation and listening comprehension, exploring grammar, pronouns and verbs. Delivered right here on the Central Coast, the French for Intermediates course is the ideal pathway to becoming fluent in this popular language.

Students will consolidate what was previously learnt in our Beginners course to help further expand their understanding of the language as they progress through the Intermediates course, covering a wide range of topics, such as accommodation, home, lifestyle, leisure, food, health, work, shopping and weather. By graduation it is expected that all students will be able to deal with routine situations and describe familiar matters in general conversation.

About The Trainer

Bonjour! My name is Sophie Macherel-Gredt and I look forward to teaching you French. A little bit about my background- born in Luxembourg I am a native French speaker and I grew up, studied and worked in several French-speaking countries amongst which Luxembourg, France and Switzerland. French is one of the very few languages spoken all over the world and is an official language of 29 countries; there are currently over 220 million French speakers worldwide. I have been a French tutor at the Central Coast Community College for over 15 years and I am passionate about sharing my language and culture with adult learners. One of the most rewarding aspects of teaching is to see my students' developing skills of understanding and speaking a new language. So come along, try the ‘language of romance’ or improve your current skills in a fun and relaxed atmosphere!
