About The Trainer

Bonjour! My name is Sophie Macherel-Gredt and I look forward to teaching you French. A little bit about my background- born in Luxembourg I am a native French speaker and I grew up, studied and worked in several French-speaking countries amongst which Luxembourg, France and Switzerland. French is one of the very few languages spoken all over the world and is an official language of 29 countries; there are currently over 220 million French speakers worldwide. I have been a French tutor at the Central Coast Community College for over 15 years and I am passionate about sharing my language and culture with adult learners. One of the most rewarding aspects of teaching is to see my students' developing skills of understanding and speaking a new language. So come along, try the ‘language of romance’ or improve your current skills in a fun and relaxed atmosphere!
