This course is run in tandem with FSK20113 Certificate II in Skills for Work and Vocational Pathways and has been developed as a dual qualification. The fees for this course are dependent on student eligibility requirements and may cost between $1,430 and $1,750.

Throughout this course you will learn how to provide support to meet personal care needs, implement individualised plans and empower those with disabilities. You will develop the skills required to support community participation, assisting people with disabilities to lead fuller, more independent lives.

The CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) is being offered as a dual qualification with FSK20113 Certificate II in Skills for Work and Vocational Pathways. This additional course will see you gain further reading, writing and numeracy skills, oral communication and learning abilities.

Note: Aged care facilities require a criminal record check prior to placement. Students can apply for this through NSW Police. If you are commencing work placement in a facility governed by NSW Health you will be required to also undergo an Occupational Assessment for Vaccinations and Infectious Diseases.

Course Duration

This course runs three days per week for the duration of five months.

Delivery Mode

Face-to-face delivery with 120 hours of practical work placement.

Entry Requirements

Students must have successfully completed year 10 (or equivalent), turned 16 or have relevant experience and/or qualifications that indicate likely success in completing the course.

The College is excited to announce that the FSK20113 Certificate II in Skills for Work and Vocational Pathways is being offered under Smart and Skilled, a reform of the NSW Vocational Education and Training (VET) system. Smart and Skilled funding is helping people in NSW get the skills they need to advance their careers.

Prior to being accepted into this course as a Smart and Skilled student, you will need to contact the College to ask for a finalised eligibility entitlement quotation. From here you will be provided with a Smart and Skilled enrolment pack, all the forms must be filled out and brought into the College for administration review. Please note that enquiring about the Smart and Skilled subsidy does not guarantee you a position within this course.

*Please note that the CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) is not available as a stand-alone course through Central Coast Community College and is not subsidised under Smart and Skilled funding.
