Working in the beauty industry is creative, fun and rewarding, and it all starts with the SHB30115 Certificate III in Beauty Services! This course will prepare you for entry-level work in the beauty industry, and can give you the practical skills, knowledge and confidence to deliver a range of professional beauty services.

The SHB30115 Certificate III in Beauty Services is delivered on the Central Coast and will give you the opportunity to perform tasks such as make-up design, manicures, pedicures, waxing, cosmetic tanning, and eyelash and eyebrow treatments for real clients. Our team of specialists will be there every step of the way, and the combination of classroom and practical exercises means you can graduate with the skills needed to excel in your chosen career!

Our onsite beauty salon, located in Ourimbah, opened in 2014 with state of the art facilities. The College has since become renowned for producing graduates who possess a range of well-developed technical and customer service skills, so you can be assured you are receiving the highest quality training with Central Coast Community College.

Throughout this course you will gain hands on experience by completing a combination of theoretical and practical training in our on-site beauty salon. Delve into a whole new world based on style, artistry and clinical elegance by enrolling today and kick start your career in the beauty industry!

Course Duration

This course runs three days per week for the duration of five months.

Delivery Mode

Face-to-face delivery with practical placement (completed on-site).

Entry Requirements

Students must have successfully completed year 10 (or equivalent), turned 16 or have relevant experience and/or qualifications that indicate likely success in completing the course.

Who Is This Course For

This course is for students looking to start a career in the beauty industry.

What to Bring To Class

In order to successfully complete this course, beauty students will need to purchase a professional make-up kit, brush set and uniform tunic for $290 (valued at $878) from the College. These will be yours to keep at the conclusion of the course.

Please also bring a pen, paper and folder to class. All other course resources will be provided for you.

About The Trainer

Alyson is the Beauty Coordinator for the College and is also the trainer for this course! Ally has extensive salon management experience having owned and operated her own beauty salons on the Central Coast over the last 14 years. She also has substantial training experience educating therapists from a Certificate III level up to completing their Diploma of Beauty Therapies. She is passionate about educating people to become inspiring therapists and to also empower people re-entering the workforce by helping to develop their self-confidence and lead them into careers within the beauty industry.
