Barista Basics extends well beyond ‘learn to froth, adjust the grind and make coffee’. It is a power session that combines cutting-edge barista techniques with expert knowledge and advice. We have developed this workshop in conjunction with representatives from the coffee industry to ensure all students have the opportunity to graduate with the knowledge and skills required to work as a highlevel barista.

The Barista Basics workshop is delivered on the Central Coast and will cover the ins and outs of using a coffee machine from scratch. Our team of specialists will be there every step of the way, and the combination of classroom and practical exercises means you can graduate with the skills needed to excel in your chosen career.

This class runs for three consecutive days.

Face-to-face delivery.

Entry Requirements

Students must have successfully completed year 10 (or equivalent), turned 16 or have relevant experience and/or qualifications that indicate likely success in completing the workshop.

Learning Outcomes

  • Follow hygiene practises
  • Froth milk
  • Make quality espresso
  • Make all of the coffees that you would find in a café
  • Clean and maintain a coffee machine
