
Tech Savvy Seniors - Using the Internet on Your Smart Phone or Tablet
Are you or someone you know looking to enhance their digital skills and master using the internet on their phone or tablet? Get started with this Tech Savvy Seniors course, which will run through how to connect to the internet, searching the web, using Government apps, shopping and banking online, and digital safety!
This training is funded by the NSW Government. Eligibility criteria applies.
As part of this workshop, participants will learn the following:
- How to connect to the internet
- Understanding NBN, Wi-Fi, data, and costs
- Using a browser
- Searching the web
- Using Government apps
- The basics of shopping and banking
- Staying safe online
This workshop is for people who want to learn the basics of how to use the internet to access services, information, and entertainment on their smart phone or tablet while staying safe online.
To be eligible for this course, participants must:
- be an Australian citizen/permanent resident
- be over the age of 60 years to enrol.
Students who identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander may enrol if they are 50 years and older.
Training for this course will be delivered face to face at Mangrove Mountain Computer Club.

Participants will need to bring their own smart phone, iPad, or tablet and a charger. Wireless internet will be provided.
Tea, coffee, and biscuits will also be provided.
