SHB30115 Certificate III in Beauty Services

If you are not eligible for a fully funded placement, the class fee is $2,130 for First Qualification price, $2,550 for Second Qualification price or $240 for Concession price.

This course will prepare you for entry-level work in the beauty industry, and will give you the practical skills, knowledge and confidence to deliver a range of professional beauty services.

The SHB30115 Certificate III in Beauty Services is delivered on the Central Coast and will give you the opportunity to perform tasks such as make-up design, manicures, pedicures, waxing, cosmetic tanning, and eyelash and eyebrow treatments. Our team of specialists will be there every step of the way, and the combination of classroom and practical exercises means you can graduate with the skills needed to excel in your chosen career.

Throughout this course you will gain hands on experience by completing a combination of theoretical and practical training in our on-site beauty salon at Central Coast Community College. Prerequisite of Course

Within this course there is a requirement that some theoretical work will be completed at home. As such, you will need a either a desktop computer or laptop, your device must also have a camera and microphone built in.

Please note that you will need to have enough data available via your internet connection, if you are connected to your home wifi this will not be an issue If you are using mobile data you can expect to use approximately 100Mb per hour which is not much

This course will run Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday each week from 9:00am until 2:30pm

*with the exception of September/October school holidays.

Delivery Mode

Face-to-face and online delivery with mandatory practical placement (completed on-site in our operational Student Salon) and individual work at home.

Funding Eligibility

SHB30115 Certificate III in Beauty Services may be offered under Smart and Skilled, a reform of the NSW Vocational Education and Training (VET) system. Smart and Skilled funding is helping people in NSW get the skills they need to advance their careers.

You can determine your eligibility for Smart and Skilled training via the Eligibility Checker .

Prior to being accepted into this course as a Smart and Skilled student, you will need to contact the College to ask for a finalised eligibility entitlement quotation and will need to attend an onsite interview with our Beauty Services Trainer. From here you will be provided with a Smart and Skilled enrolment pack, all the forms must be filled out and brought into the College for administration review. Please note that enquiring about the Smart and Skilled subsidy does not guarantee you a position within this course.

Entry Requirements

Students must have successfully completed year 10 (or equivalent, Certificate II), turned 16 or have relevant experience and/or qualifications that indicate likely success in completing the course.

What to Bring To Class

Please bring a pen, paper and folder to class. You must wear black pants and enclosed black shoes. All other course resources will be provided for you on the day, including a brush set and uniform tunic. These will be yours to keep at the conclusion of the course.
