Working in the beauty industry is creative, fun and rewarding, and it all starts with the SHB30115 Certificate III in Beauty Services!
This course will prepare you for entry-level work in the beauty industry, and will give you the practical skills, knowledge and confidence to deliver a range of professional beauty services.
If you are not eligible for a fully funded placement, the class fee is $2,130 for First Qualification price, $2,550 for Second Qualification price or $240 for Concession price.
The SHB30115 Certificate III in Beauty Services is delivered on the Central Coast and will give you the opportunity to perform tasks such as make-up design, manicures, pedicures, waxing, cosmetic tanning, and eyelash and eyebrow treatments. Our team of specialists will be there every step of the way, and the combination of classroom theory and practical exercises means you can graduate with the skills needed to excel in your chosen career.
Throughout this course you will gain hands on experience by completing practical training with real clients to provide beauty advice, recommend beauty treatments and services in our on-site beauty salon at Central Coast Community College.

Students who graduate from this course may continue their studies by enrolling in the SHB40115 Certificate IV in Beauty Therapy and / or the SHB50115 Diploma of Beauty Therapy.

- Freelance Beauty Worker
Face-to-face and online delivery with mandatory practical placement (completed on-site in our operational Student Salon) and individual work at home.
SHB30115 Certificate III in Beauty Services may be offered under Smart and Skilled, a reform of the NSW Vocational Education and Training (VET) system. Smart and Skilled funding is helping people in NSW get the skills they need to advance their careers.
You can determine your eligibility for Smart and Skilled training via the Eligibility Checker .
Prior to being accepted into this course as a Smart and Skilled student, you will need to contact the College to ask for a finalised eligibility entitlement quotation and will need to attend an onsite information session with our Beauty Services Trainer & Course Coordinator. From here you will be provided with a Smart and Skilled enrolment pack, all the forms must be filled out on the day for for administration review.
Please note that enquiring about the Smart and Skilled subsidy does not guarantee you a position within this course.
When you study with Central Coast Community College, our team want you to succeed. Entry requirements allow us to make sure that you have the right pre-existing knowledge and skills to achieve your chosen qualification.
- Course Prerequisite
Students must have successfully completed year 10 (or equivalent, Certificate II), turned 16 or have relevant experience and/or qualifications that indicate likely success in completing the course.

Please ensure that this LLN assessment is completed prior to attending your Information Day. Students will need to achieve a ACSF- Level 2 result to enrol into this program.

What to Bring To Class
Please bring a pen, paper and folder to class. You must wear black pants and enclosed black shoes. All other course resources will be provided for you on the day, including a brush set and uniform tunic. These will be yours to keep at the conclusion of the course.
What You Will Need At Home
This course requires that some theoretical work will be completed at home. You will need a either a desktop computer or laptop with access to the internet. Your device must also have a camera and microphone built in.
The College Creche, for children aged 0 to 6 years, is now open to help our students studying on-site at Ourimbah campus, gain much needed support to access your studies.
