
Tech Savvy Seniors - Introduction to Smart Phones
Smart phones allow us to stay connected with friends and family and access the internet from the palm of our hands. If you need a bit of guidance with technology, this course will run through the basics of smart phone capabilities, from seting up your device, to managing data, navigating your phone, downloading apps, and using emails and contacts.
This training is funded by the NSW Government. Eligibility criteria applies.

As part of this workshop, participants will learn the following:
- Setting up your device, including your Google or Apple account
- Managing data
- Navigating your device
- Security and privacy
- Backup, storage and updates
- Finding and downloading great apps
- Email and contacts
This workshop is for people who own an Apple or Android smart phone and want to learn more about how to use and manage it.
To be eligible for this course, participants must:
- be an Australian citizen/permanent resident
- be over the age of 60 years to enrol.
Students who identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander may enrol if they are 50 years and older.
Training for this course will be delivered face to face at Mangrove Mountain Computer Club.
Information regarding course dates will be communicated to students who waitlist once a course is scheduled.

9:30am - 12:00pm
Location:
Mangrove Mountain Computer Club -Â 6 Waratah Rd, Mangrove Mountain NSW 2250.
Participants will need to bring their own smart phone and a charger. Wireless internet will be provided.
Tea, coffee, and biscuits will also be provided.
