  • SHBBNLS011 - Use electric file equipment for nail services
  • SHBBRES003 - Research and apply beauty industry information
  • SHBBSSC001 - Incorporate knowledge of skin structure and functions into beauty therapy
  • SHBBSSC002 - Incorporate knowledge of body structures and functions into beauty therapy
  • SHBXCCS005 - Maintain health and wellbeing in a personal services setting
  • SHBXCCS006 - Promote healthy nutritional options in a beauty therapy context

Enrolment information sessions are held prior to course commencement for Student Services and Training staff to assess your application and deem you a suitable fit for enrolment into the training program.

Please note - you must complete an enrolment application via the link below before attending an enrolment and information session. Students are required to attend one of these sessions prior to commencing this course.

Required documentation:

Students must ensure they bring the following documentation to the information session so that we are able to give you an accurate finalised quotation.

  • Medicare card
  • ID - Drivers Licence / Proof of Age card
  • Concession - Centrelink card
  • Credit Transfer / Recognition of Prior Learning evidence (if applicable)

Please note - students who identify as having a disability and who are not currently in receipt of the Disability Support Pension (DSP) are required to bring documentary evidence from a verified professional and/or job provider supporting this.

Failure to supply this documentation on the information day, will result in the College being unable to provide you with a finalised quotation and a secure position within this course.

To be eligible to undertake this course, students must:

  • have completed Year 10 (or equivalent, i.e. Certificate II qualification); or
  • be 16 or older; or
  • have relevant experience and/or qualifications that indicate likely success in completing the course

All students wishing to enrol in this course are required to complete an LLN assessment before attending an information session at the Ourimbah campus. This will be facilitated by the Central Coast Community College.

If you are not eligible for a fully funded placement, course fees are as follows:

  • First Qualification - $3,750
  • Second Qualification - $4,230

A student who falls into one of the below categories will qualify for fee-free training:

  • Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person
  • person with a disability
  • dependant child, spouse or partner of a recipient of a Disability Support Pension
  • Refugee or Asylum Seeker (and eligible partners) – for training up to and including Certificate IV
  • recipient of a Fee-Free Scholarship – for training up to and including Certificate IV

Under the Skilling for Recovery Initiative, students who meet the eligibility criteria will also be eligible for fee-free training. For more information on eligibility for fee-free training, please refer to page 30 of the Smart and Skilled Fee Administration Policy.

This course is valued at $14,680 for students who are ineligible for government funding.

Training for this course will be delivered face to face at our Ourimbah Campus.

Students will attend training 3 days per week (Monday - Wednesday) over 20 weeks.

Students will need access to a computer or laptop with internet connectivity. Your device must also have camera and microphone capability.

Students must attend an Enrolment Information Session for this course, which will be held in the lead up to course commencement.
