White Card Training

Are you looking to pursue a hands-on trade career? Prepare yourself for future work in the construction industry and obtain your White Card through this funded course designed for students with barriers to education and training.

This training is subsidised by the NSW Government. Eligibility criteria applies.

This course is suitable for students looking to gain an accredited ticket for future work in the construction industry or related trade area.

As part of this course, students will complete the following accredited unit of competency:

  • CPCWHS1001 - Prepare to Work Safely in the Construction Industry

Central Coast Community College

You are required to bring proof of identification with you to this course.

100 points of identification are required.

 

Primary Documents
Only use one document:

  • Australian Birth Certificate/card issues by the Register of Births, Deaths and Marriages (70 points)
  • Passport - Australian or international, current or expired within the last two years, not cancelled (70 points)
  • Australian citizenship certificate (70 points)

Primary Documents
Can use a combination of the below.
If you accept more than one credit card and savings account card (max. 2), they must be from different financial institutions.
Documents provided must contain the participants full name, NOT initials.

  • Current Australian driver's licence, or learner driver’s licence/permit (40 points)
  • Current Australian boat operator’s photo licence. The NSW non-photo boat licence is not acceptable (40 points)
  • Current NSW firearms photo licence (40 points)
  • Current Australian high risk work photo licence (40 points)
  • Current state/territory proof of age or photo card (e.g. a NSW RMS issued photo card) (40 points)
  • Australian defence or Police photo ID card (40 points)
  • Current Centrelink card (40 points)
  • Property (council) rates notice (25 points)
  • Property lease agreement (25 points)
  • Home insurance papers (25 points)
  • Utility bills – e.g. water, electricity, gas (issued in the last three months) (25 points)
  • Telephone account (issued in the last three months) (25 points)
  • Current Medicare card (25 points)
  • Current motor vehicle registration or insurance papers (25 points)
  • Credit/savings cards/bank statements (25 points)
  • Department of Veterans Affairs card (25 points)

Correctional facility
For inmates of a correctional centre an arrangement exists between SafeWork NSW and NSW Corrective Services to accept additional forms of EOI. This additional EOI applies to Correctional Centre inmates who are being trained in a correctional facility under this arrangement ONLY.

  • Correctional centre inmate MIN card photo card (40 points)
  • Letter of verification from the department of corrective services (5 points)
  • Correctional centre inmate MIN card (25 points)

This training is fully subsidised for eligible students by the NSW Government under the ACE program.

Students who meet the eligibility criteria for ACE funded training will not be required to pay any course fees. Please see above funding eligibility for more information.

Students should bring a pen and paper to the course. All other course resources will be provided.

Further study options:

Students who complete this course may continue their studies by enrolling in our Multi-Trade Taster Workshop, or pursue an apprenticeship in Carpentry or a related trade area.

Career prospects:

Students wishing to undertake this accredited ticket may choose a career in the Construction industry or a related trade area.
